The Build - HARDRACE x JDMYARD WTAC 2017

Each year spawns a new challenge, new learning curve and especially this year a more exciting car. Despite all the naysayers, we continually push the envelope combining high torque power delivery whilst still retaining FWD configuration.

We have undergone dramatic changes in powertrain setup to help recapture the World Time Attack Challenge Open Class title. Whilst still retaining the in house assembled K24 powerplant we have opted to ditch the supercharger and replace it with a torque inducing Borg Warner EFR8374 Turbo, mated to a custom made exhaust manifold from Hypertune ensuring that power will not be a limitation.

With the addition of a turbocharger comes the precisely crafted accessories from Turbosmart. The car now features two Hypergate 45mm wastegates, Powerport Blow off valve, two 4 port boost solenoids accompanied by various Turbosmart hoses and clamps allowing reliable and specifically targeted power when we need it.

The complete Hardrace Suspension package still going strong since install in 2014, the extreme speed showing the pillowball equipped suspension arms and bushings no strain as both corner and straight line speed have increased greatly.

Once again Phil Armour from Armour Motorsport Services has stepped up to the plate tuning the car to an incredible 730hp at the wheels on the MOTEC M150 ECU, all this whilst retaining the key elements to make sure that the power is smooth, useable and reliable.

See it in person at World Time Attack Challenge 13th/14th October 2017. Can't wait for it !
